About us
Long history in the community
The New Brighton Club has been an important part of the New Brighton seaside community since it first opened its doors in the early 1950s. The club rooms were built on the site of the New Brighton tram terminal and have been expanded and upgraded over the years to the modern building it is today.
Our commitment to the community continues today and we make regular contributions to worthwhile charities including:
- Ronald McDonald House
- Guide Dog Puppies/Blind Foundation
- Lion's Club
- Heart Foundation
- Plunket
- Cancer Society
- Autism NZ
- National Foundation for deaf & hard of hearing
- Chch Sunrise Rotary Club Trust
- Heart Kids
- Look 4
- Going Banana's
- Caring Families
- Cholmondeley House
We are actively involved in the community through our range of sporting groups, with our members regularly winning tournaments and competitions, as well as having a lot of fun.
